One white tree

[This one is dedicated to transgender people everywhere.]

One white tree—seen quite
clearly despite the clouds’
obfuscation of the sun’s
bright disk—whispers while
holding before my eyes a
tangle of thread colored for
us: white, pink (not red),
baby blue as if to say,
“I do love you,” in that
language elocuted by this
transcendent reality—placement.
